Crestline Hotels Remote Sales Manager - Dual Property in Newport News, Virginia
We are currently hiring for a Dual Property Remote Sales Manager. The ultimate mission of this Richmond based position will be to solicit, sell, and contract rooms for the Marriott Newport News and Stonewall Jackson Hotels in coordination with transient demand patterns, existing group business to maximize hotel room and related revenues.
Creates and executes strategic sales plans to identify, attract and retain group, catering and transient room nights for the hotels
Attend weekly sales meeting at the Newport News Marriott
Attend monthly sales meeting at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conf. Ctr
Weekly sales recap reports for the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Newport News Marriott
Outside Sales Prospecting activities to grow group rooms and related revenue
Overnight travel for business related activities as needed and as approved by DOSMs
Skillfully respond to incoming leads and maximize conversion from all sources
Analyze and manage business opportunities to achieve the highest profit margins for department and hotels
Creatively sells available hotel space to maximize revenue
Attend onsite pre-conference meetings at hotels from assigned accounts
Negotiate and finalizes contracts within approved Crestline guidelines
Communicate with appropriate departments regarding set-up changes and final counts
Ensure that guest rooms and meeting rooms are blocked properly
Attend networking events and industry related functions to foster improved client relationships and grow association market business as approved by hotel DOSMs
Active involvement and participation with industry memberships as approved by DOSMs
Provide accurate forecasts to operational departments to ensure proper staffing
Coordination and attendance is expected for all site inspections
Follow-up with clients after each function to ensure satisfaction and solicit for additional business
Ensure proper usage of (and that all required information is entered into) sales software including all significant client communication
Conducts oneself at all times in a professional business manner, acts as a professional representative of the hotels and an enthusiastic member of the sales teams
Ensures Business Plan and related action plans are executed as established
Position may be required to occasionally work flexible hours and weekends
Other responsibilities as assigned by hotel DOSMs

Education & Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED plus one to two years experience in hotel and/or conference center sales; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities. Conference center experience preferred.
Two to four years related experience.
Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize a variety of computer programs.
Preferred Skills and/or Education:
