Modeling and Simulation Specialist

Key Role:

Apply expertise in modeling and simulation functions or operations to plan, develop, and maintain models and tools that support live-virtual-constructive (LVC) training. Support innovation efforts to modernize capabilities that are and will be used to deliver Joint training. Assist with analyzing modeling and simulation functions or operations, including exercises, plans, coordinations, demonstrations, and instructions to support all aspects of the Joint Exercise Program (JEP). Provide technology assessments of emerging Science and Technology (S&T) and industry solutions. Provide staff support and facilitation for the implementation of DoD best practices for requirement management, including configuration management.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as Joint staff or Combatant Command or Service General staff, including working as military, civilian, or contractor in operations, training, or network engineering fields

-2+ years experience with interoperability activities associated with one or more service domain simulations or agency functional models that currently federate with the Joint federation

-2+ years of experience with creating, supporting, or executing theater level training events

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with symbology and command staff in the US military

-Experience with DoD Cybersecurity policies

-Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System

-Experience with Microsoft Office programs

-BA or BS degree in a technical field preferred
